Curious Afghans

I was at the opening of the Kabul Serena Hotel, the first 5 star hotel in Afghanistan and it was pretty cool and interesting event. I had my first really fancy meal in a long long time and that was pretty amazing, a nice surprise cause i wasn't expecting it. There were a lot of high profile people there so the security was extremely tight, and they closed off the street outside, which is a pretty big road. Naturally, people started crowding outside just to take a peek at what was going on. I've found that the afghan people are extremely curious, like whenever i take photos, they love to get their picture taken and then other people come to look and what not. So in a minute you can sometimes have a huge group of afghans surrounding you, which might freak some people out, but i'm slowly getting used to the attention because people are really nice and not threatening at all. but anyways i thought this picture was hilarious cause i went to leave the hotel and i saw people so curious to the point that they were hanging in the trees in the park across the street!!! it was amazing how many people had gathered to stand and stare at a bunch of security people and cars going in and out, cause there was nothing else to see really.
